Flight simulator
Hello all MS-FS 98 users
I would like to introduce you to our mutually developed scene by means of AIRPORT
2.10b:
EDXE, Rheine-Eschendorf, version 3.0.
Thanks to our beta testers Helmut DL9MC and Wieland, DL2MFM it took us about a week and
a lot of transmissions had to be sent from one place to the other until this first
scene
was completed as the first co-production.
Now a little bit of information on that small (but super) landing field.
Co-ordinates: N 52.16.38, E 007.29.31
Height: 131 ft/NN
2 grass runways: 30 m wide (motor planes), 40m wide (gliders)
Both are 920 m long
Runway course 287 (29) as well as 107 (11) degrees
Lifting capacity 3000 MPW, HEL 5700 MPW
TKOF from 107 degrees = 638 m/ from 287 degrees = 833 m
LDG from 107 degrees = 833 m/ from 287 degrees = 638 m
no night flying, no ILS or LOC . Contact flying rules apply.
Operating times Mo - Sun 10 00 - 19 00 hrs
Rheine info 122.05 Mhz AM
EDXE is reachable from
DOM 112.70 = 355 degrees
HMM 115.65 = 343 degrees
RKN 116.80 = 073 degreess as well as
OSN 114.30 = 279 degrees
Installation:
As EDXE was developed as "Europe1-compatible you can install your own
subdirectory
or copy the "BGL file" directly to europe1/scenery, it can even be put into
FS98/ scenery.
Now to the textures:
If there are Airport textures and DIRT.R8, Water.R8 as well as
CONCRETE.R8 (that is a standard feature in FS98) available in the main textures
the scenery runs without any further files Otherwise the following 8 textures files
have to be
available together with the BGL.
airpt 001.oav
airpt 003.oav
airpt 004.oav
airpt 005.oav
airpt 0a4.oav
airpt 0p4.oav
airpt 0w4.oav
These are also available in the zip data base !
Naturally afterwards the scenery in FS has to be activated. See
"environment/sceneryliberary/database/add"
then enter the path
(I enter "F: FS98 Scenery europe1 EDXE Scenery *.bgl)
and possible the title: "EDXE" and afterwards click "active"
The scenery is meant for FS6 and FS98. Tests in FS5 didnt show any satisfactory
results because of a "vesa-compatible" adjustment (Matrox-Millennium II)
Finally, some advice: An original "FS98-C182" is a dynamic plane active
in EDXE,
it flies round the airfield leftbound, you should try to chase it.
73 de Rolf DL3DK and Jens DH2BAU
PS : On the western side of the airfield there is a block of flats with an
Afu-antenna
who the hell lives there ? 8-)

ETHE V. 2.0 (ETHE.ZIP) (ca 31 kB)
Attention: you must have TEXTUREN.ZIP ! ( look above )
Who wants know about the power of his machine, use the following files 8-) !!!!
Dynamic
Scenery Bentlage (ETHE_DYN.zip) (ca 53 kB)
(flying CH 53 and Bo 105)
Static
Scenery Bentlage (ETHE_DST.ZIP) (ca 11 kB)
ETHE_DST.BGL includes also the dynamic scene and the STATIC with 9 CH53 und 3 BO105.
You must always have the CH53- und BO105-textures in der maintexture of FS98 and in
subdirectory /FS98/Scenery/Bentlage/texture.
Attention: only one of the files "ethe_dyn.bgl OR
ethe_dst.bgl" can be activ !
We use the tools: M98TOBGL, FLTREC.DLL und DOD.

Here is a piece of general advice for FS 98 installation:
If there are any additional programmes available it is recommended
to
install them in the following order:
FS 98, Europe 1, German Airports 1, German Airports 2, German Airports 3, Euro 2,
Euro 3 and so on.....
If someone looks for special additional tools (only Free- or Shareware) I am in possession of
a collection of the last 5 years. (from amateur transmission, Internet....)
via 3 CDs full with aeroplanes of all kinds
Sceneries
Tools
Panels
Sounds
Adventures and so on .......
Then send me an E-mail
